Was achieving the target heart rate important to get good scan results?

The target heart rate was only achieved in 74% of patients studied. Upon analyzing their data, the more significant factor was the failure to achieve a heart rate of at least 130. In table 2, the data shows that achieving the target heart rate (85% of predicted max) was NOT associated with a lower mortality, but rather it was actually associated with a slightly higher mortality!
