How does the prognosis after a normal pharmacologic stress scan compare to exercise?

There is a low event rate in patients with a normal pharmacologic stress sestamibi scan, however, it is slightly higher than that seen in patients with a normal exercise sestamibi scan. This is thought to be due to the fact that those needing pharmacologic stress are a higher risk population than those who are able to exercise.
