Will Serve With Top Nuclear Medicine Physicians In The Nation. Sandpoint, Idaho July 03, 2004 - Tom Heston, MD, has recently been named to serve on the Publications Committee of the Society of Nuclear Medicine. The Publications Committee oversees publication of The Journal of Nuclear Medicine, which is the most widely read, peer-reviewed journal in the field of nuclear medicine imaging and its allied disciplines.
As a member of the publications committee, Heston will be working alongside with some of the leading nuclear medicine and molecular imaging physicians in the world. Distinguished members include Michael M. Graham, PhD, MD (Chair, American Board of Nuclear Medicine), Val J. Lowe, MD (PET Imaging, Mayo Clinic), Richard L. Wahl, MD (Director of Nuclear Medicine/PET at Johns Hopkins), Martin P. Sandler, MD (Professor and Chairman of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, Vanderbilt), and Sanjiv Sam Gambhir, MD, PhD (Chief, Nuclear Medicine Division Director, Molecular Imaging Program, Stanford). NWMI introduced positron emission tomography (PET scanning) to north Idaho. NWMI's medical director, Thomas F.
