Seal Hunting Syndrome

Hi.

I'm new here. I wonder if there's any doctor out there that may be able to help me on this matter...

My husband is a seal hunter in Canada.
One day, while he was hunting, he started feeling dizzy, slightly confused, headaches and respiratory difficulties. He came home and eventually he felt a little better. However, since that day, he lost his sexual desire completely. Moreover, he started urinating in bed (like some children do) while sleeping.

We went to see lots and lots of doctors and the last one told us that my husband suffered from the "seal hunting syndrome" (SHS), wich, according to him, was a rare contidion in the past but now is growing more and more among the hunters. He said that there was nothing he could do to help my husband, since this syndrome has an unknown ethiology (or is it..."aethiology"?).

What can you tell me about this?
Help, please.
