ACE inhibitors found to decrease risk of developing diabetes
In this study of 5720 non-diabetics with risk factors for diabetes found that the ace inhibitor ramipril decreased the chances of developing diabetes over the 4.5 year study from 5.4% to 3.6%
The makers of Altace (brand ramipril) where one of the funders of this study.
