Quantification of myocardial perfusion defects using 3 different software packages
This study compared the automated perfusion defect scoring of three different automated computer software packages: Cedars-Sinai QGS, Emory Cardiac Toolbox, and 4D-MSPECT. There was a significant difference not only in the scores, but also in the clinical implications of the varying scores. COMMENT: this highlights the need for a specialty trained nuclear cardiologist to review and interpret all studies. Currently, the international standard for certification in nuclear cardiology is the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
