Combined study with FDG PET and Tl SPECT in idiopathic dilated cardiomy
This study states: Impaired myocardial glucose metabolism is a more powerful predictor of future cardiac events than perfusion abnormality in patients with IDCM. (idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy). COMMENT: this study addresses the question of which agent is better for viability: thallium or FDG. These researchers found that FDG was more clinically useful.
