Diabetics at Increased Risk for Dementia
This study of 1301 elderly residents of Sweden found that the risk of dementia was higher in diabetics. The risk of vascular dementia was particularly elevated in diabetics. The risk of vascular dementia was found to be increased in diabetics, especially in those with systoic hypertension and/or heart disease.
