swelling behind ear

I have a swollen nodule behind my ear. It becomes bigger and smaller but won't go away. When it is swollen it is painful to the touch, and is accompanied by dizziness, disorientation, some hearing loss, full feeling/pressure in ear, pain in face and neck. I have gone to the doctor and have had no results, he said he saw nothing unusual besides the lump. This has been going on for 4 months.

Any help is appreciated.

Re: swelling behind ear

Dear bajan,
Strange to know about your lump .It's very hard to predict the real nature of that lump. Ok, now let me know few facts from you. Does the lump regularly varies in regular or in rare occasion? When it was swollen, Is any redliness appears on it or it's colour reamin as usual?Answers to this question can bring some light into your query. As of now, I suggest you to go to some other doctor who have not diagonised you yet.
