Normalizing SPECT Cardiac Images to Match Best Wall Improves Sensitivity
These researchers studied the difference between normalizing matching STRESS/REST slices to the maximum count per study, versus normalizing to the best wall. Comment: this study supports the practice of interpreting images off of a computer display. Images are then easily manipulated by the interpreter. Manipulating the images so that they are viewed with varying intensities increases sensitivity compared to viewing static images displayed in a single manner only.
