Cardiac Uptake of FDG Not Related to Age, Blood Glucose Level, or Fasting Period

[Eur J Nucl Med Mol Imaging] this study found that there was no statistically significant relationship between the blood glucose level, age or fasting period on the non-pathological FDG uptake in heart and gut. COMMENT: cardiac uptake of FDG is unreliable and not fully understood.
