Instructions for Authors

Manuscript submission to the Internet Medical Journal is simple. All contributors must follow the general principles in the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals. However, the technical requirements of manuscript submission to the Internet Medical Journal is less stringent (e.g. submissions entirely by email are acceptable and preferred). Please read and follow the Policies for Posting Biomedical Journal Information on the Internet before submitting an article.

Articles in Journals

1. Standard journal article

List the first six authors followed by et al. (Note: NLM now lists all authors.)

As an option, if a journal carries continuous pagination throughout a volume (as many medical journals do) the month and issue number may be omitted.

  • All authors must have contributed a significant amount to the publication
  • Provide an abstract and key words
  • Use standard referencing as described in the Uniform Requirements
  • Clearly state how article and/or research was funded (state "none" if you did not receive outside funding for the work)
  • State any relevant financial conflicts of interest (e.g. stock ownership, speaker's bureau)
  • Include authors' affiliation and relevant credentials
  • Be sure to mention any copyright information (all articles to the Internet Medical Journal become copyrighted by Medjournal.Com)
