Expansion of Cardiac Imaging Modalities
[cardiosource.com] Recent advances in imaging technology are coming closer to fulfilling the promise of noninvasive assessment of atherosclerotic plaques in arteries throughout the body. For example, high-resolution multislice computed tomography (MSCT) and cardiac magnetic resonance (MR) imaging provide information about the arterial wall, particularly in proximal vessels, that is unavailable with most other methods, including angiography.
