The risk of chronic back pain is reduced by...

Paying attention to the psychological aspects of back pain helps reduce the chance that the pain will become chronic.

Avoiding unnecessary, excessive, or inappropriate tests helps reduce the chance of chronicity.

I have found that this is important in treating LBP
