Aspirin Shown to Cut Risk of Prostate Cancer
Data from the Prostate, Lung, Colorectal, and Ovarian Cancer Screening Trial has found that daily aspirin use was associated with a 14% reduction in the incidence of prostate cancer. COMMENT: the meaning of this association is unknown as the data is still preliminary. Nevertheless, a daily aspirin can be very helpful in certain people at risk for heart disease. Daily usage should be discussed with your primary healthcare provider. Added benefits of daily aspirin is the possible reduction in colorectal polyps.
