Risks of Coronary Angiography < 1%
This study looked at 7412 consecutive coronary angiographies and found that the complication rate was 0.85% (63/7412). Of the complications, 40 were minor and 23 were classified as major. This means that the risk of a major complication (in this series of patients) was 0.31%, or 1 major complication for every out of 322 procedures.
