The Effect of Diet on the Risk of Cancer
This review on the effect of diet and cancer concludes that a diet rich in fruit, vegetables and cereals most likely helps prevent several types of cancer. Also important is maintaining a healthy bodyweight, regular physical activity, and a restriction on the consumption of alcohol. The authors state that diet-related factors are thought to account for about 30% of cancers in developed countries. [ Lancet 2002; 360: 861-68 ]

Re: The Effect of Diet on the Risk of Cancer
With my knowledge in learning in medical school, fresh fruits & vegetables decrease the risk of cancer.Well known antioxidats contaning vitamins include
vitamin A ,C & E.They can reduce the amount of oxidants in our body which lead to the fomation & transformation of malignant cells from nor mal ones.
These vitamins are rich in many citrous & other fruits & also in fish oil which contains plenty of unsaturated fatty acids. Not only fruits but also vegetables
play a major roles in decrasing the rate of cancers. They can exactly decrease
the risk of colon cancer.Simply even fresh water can protect the urinary bladder cancer if you drink large amount! So instead of eating preserved foods,I want to advice to eat fresh foods & drinks for lives without cancers.
Thank you.
