Breastfeeding in Infancy May Reduce the Risk of Coronary Artery Disease

This study of 87,252 women from the Nurses' Health Study looked at breast feeding in infancy and the subsequent development of coronary artery disease and stroke. They found that there was a smaller rate of CAD and strokes in the women that were breastfed as a baby, compared to those who had never breastfed. COMMENT: the authors note that this relationship is suggestive, but does not definitely establish a causative relationship.
