NSAIDS Do Not Slow Progress of Alzheimers Disease
This study looked at the effect of naproxen or rofecoxib compared with placebo upon the progression of Alzheimers Disease. There was no benefit of the naproxen or rofecoxib. Comment: this study does not answer the question as to whether or not aspirin can delay the onset of dementia, which it probably does by decreasing the rate of multi-infarct dementia.
