Doctor in trouble for telling patient to lose weight

A doctor in America is being investigated after a woman he told to lose weight filed a formal complaint with the state saying she had been offended.

Dr Terry Bennett. who works in Rochester, New Hampshire, says he tells obese patients their weight is bad for their health and their love lives.

He said: "I told a fat woman she was obese."

COMMENT: unfortunately, the American legal system has long been absurd and unjust. This is just another example of crazy legislation that has gotten out of control.
