Subclinical Hypothyroidism and the Risk of Hypercholesterolemia
This study looked at whether or not subclinical hypothyroidism (defined as a mildly elevated TSH with normal serum thyroxine levels) was related to hypercholesterolemia. The researchers found that after correcting for confounding variables, there was no increased risk of hypercholesterolemia in patients with subclinical hypothyroidism.
